Julio Garcia, RN, Director of Springhill Medical Center’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program, was elected to the Board of Directors for the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine this month. He is the nursing representative on the board and a first-time board member for the organization. Since 1983, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine has worked to develop an image of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a distinct medical specialty. In this new year, the organization will continue to support clinicians practicing hyperbaric medicine who recognize the importance of therapeutic oxygen in clinical applications, especially wound management.Original Article
