GLP-1 Drugs Linked to a Small but Real Risk of Sudden Vision Loss in a Large US Study
A Rutgers analysis of adults with type 2 diabetes found about 3 to 4 extra cases of ischemic optic neuropathy per 10,000 people treated over 18 months. The absolute risk is low, but the warning sign — sudden vision loss — needs urgent attention.
